!!!Puppy Scammers!! Buyers Beware!!!
« on: September 18, 2006, 02:14:10 PM »
Watch out for the puppy scammers, Jennifer Powell from Salt Lake City and Jamie Kosier they will tell you their puppies, typically Yorkies for around $200 are sold but they have a friend, Pena Susana, (at deborahjohn80@yahoo.com or penababiesforyou@yahoo.com) that still has puppies, and they want you to let them know when you get the puppies. Don't do it!! They will take your money and never respond to you!! If anyone else has dealt with these folks please email me, as I am currently investigating the fraud. Let's stop the scammers!! before anyone else gets ripped off!!boyz.mom3@comcast.net

I have also been scammed.  http://www.breeders421.blinkz.com/  NEVER buy a puppy from them.  Buy one from a local breeder.  donmonsmith@yahoo.com  jackbrown000@yahoo.com  Why don't these people get a life and working so they can start making their own money instead of stealing other peoples money.  You people know this is fraud right?  And this WILL catch up to you one day.....

If you have been scammed and lost money make sure you have kept all correspondence and go to the site that the FBI has set up to report Internet Fraud. www.ic3.gov You probably won't get any money back as they reasearch thousands of cases weekly. But it is a tool to get these guys to stop. They have many ways to to hun these guys down. And get the word out!!

I was almost scammed too... same people, except different email (staceymona32@yahoo.com)      I live in Florida. A few months ago I saw this lady's post about puppies for sale, and I emailed her. She said she didnt have any at the time, but referred me to a friend. I never contacted her friend. But now, about 5-6 months later, she contacts me saying she has new puppies, and wanted to know if I was still interested. I said yes I was, and I wanted to know more about the puppies. So, we had been in touch through email for the past week or so, she sent me pictures of the puppies. I sent her $300 for a maltese through quick collect. Later, she emails me saying that she cant confirm the payment, so I called Western Union to see what was going on. And THANK GOD for Western Union, because the lady I spoke to told me that it was strange that there was no company name. This Susana Pena or whatever, asks you to do a test question (What is your color?) and an answer (White)... well GUESS WHAT? when you send money with a test question and answer, the receiver DOES NOT need to show id. That is why mostly companies use this method. Plus she didnt give me a phone number, and the lady thought that was odd as well. So, she gave me my money back and transfered me to fraud. At fraud, they told me to type her name on google, and thats how I found you.... but anyways, she was going by this email:
stacey ramirez <staceymona32@yahoo.com>
And she said that her secretary (Susana Pena) would pick up the money........

Ok, I apparently joined this forum too late.  I was scammed yesterday of $400 for a yorkie puppy.  Again they were using Florida and New York.  The names were Martha Bryant in Miami and Rosemary Duke in NY.  The man I spoke with several times on the phone was Desmond.  These guys make me sick.  I have contacted my local police department also.  Western Union has a drivers lisence from the pick up.  Of course the address doesn't match.  We will see what happens.  This was a christmas gift for my kids!  Just wanted to pass on the information.  Oh and just wanted to let you know what the local officer told me.  ALWAYS USE PAYPAL OR ESCROW SERVICE!!!  If they refuse, they are not legitimate!!!

Yep, we saw this too late as well.  Martha Bryant from Miami listing Mini Bull Terrier puppies on the website "pupcity.com".   Does anyone have any info on this website or individuals?  The money has already been picked up from Western Union (imagine that) - it was sent yesterday and we have had no contact with this woman since.  My friend is filing a police report today with our local PD and we will certainly go to the IC3 website.

Any info would be appreciated.

I wanted to warn others about the site of www.barpups.com.  The owner "Barrick" is a scam artist. He says he is from Miami, Florida. He claims to have a wife named Margarita Sasse.  He guaranteed and gave me every reassurance and promise of sending me the puppy I had put $200 down on for shipping.  This was a gift for my husband who will be deploying soon.  Barrick sent me their flight information, arrival times, I spoke to him personally on the phone, spent 3 days working out every detail..... everything.  I checked the information and sent him the money.  The flight had no dog on it.  I contacted him and he said he needed more money to pay for the health papers.  I refused and demanded a refund.  He agreed and promised to send the money back.  Well, needless to say, I never saw it.  He now will not reply at all.  I have turned him to the FBI, called the police and done all I know to do at this point.  I just want others to know that that site is a complete fraud and horrible scam.

Sincerely,

T. Westbrook

Do not buy from Carren, martha, Marta Bryant!! I have been scammed out of $600 for a yorkie.  She sent me pictures to choose the puppy and everything.  She claims she is having trouble sending the puppy in an appropriate crate and keeps dragging thins on.  she doesn't have a legit phone or address.  She has been reported in Florida.  I sent her money to Atlanta.  My Christmas and childrens is ruined! I am so angry--I hope she hasn't taken advantage of too many others!!  Everything is done by email

Has anyone ever heard of Jennifer Reed or Linda Conner? I have already sent half of my money to linda conner for 2 yorkies, but im begining to feel a bit uncomfortable about it after reading these posts. I told her that I was uncomfortable, but she claims that she does not need my money she just wants loving homes for her pups? sound familiar to anyone?

Police say cameras in that location might be able to get a picture of them.  hopefully with all of us we can put them down

"THIS WOMAN IS A SCAMMER, (JENNIFER, jennifercoat@yahoo.com FM ATL, GA)" she used about 3 different email addresses to complete her scam. She first replied back saying that she sold her pups and refered me to someone else Linda Conner lindaconner69@yahoo.com, then from there i was in touch with someone with a different email address, who gave me someone elses email address as a reference Vivian Keith vivianfarms@yahoo.com. In the end, after my final payment, I have not heard from them or her again. They scammed me out of 750.00, told me the lady was a 69 year old woman that was hearing impaired, so she couldnt use  the phone. Also that she lost her ID, so to send money western union with a text question and answer. This all played into a big scam.  She is still on the website doing this same scam.

So just beware, Here is her listing below it is still up as an ad on this website THE DATE IS 12/12/06:

This too was a Christmas present for our 15 yr old daughter.  Her whole Christmas was ruined as it was built around the pup.  These people are horrible. Not these people.... but we were just scammed by a Adrienne JOhnson out of Washington State.  Her email address is ad_johnson33@yahoo.com.  Promised us a Tea Cup Chihuahua pup, sent the money and no pup no response.  Lovely.  I have filed a Federal Fraud Complaint as well as State trooper report here in Alaska as well as Washington State.  They are subpeoning the video tape from Walmart as well as the check they lady cashed for her id number.  This is just disgusting that people get away with this to honest people. Any help you can give....I would greatly appreciate.
