Poodle for adoption Scam
« on: October 28, 2006, 09:14:37 AM »
I think someone is trying to scam me.  I posted an ad that said my family and I wanted a poodle for free or cheap.  A man from Cameroon emailed me.  At first he said I could adopt her for $250 and that would include shipping cost.  Then I told him no and he said $165.  I talked to my husband and we both told him we would get back with him.  A couple of days ago he emailed me and said I could have her just pay for half of shipping which would be $60.  I asked for his full name and address for verification.  He gave me two names and said as soon as I emailed the money he would send the dog.  He also stated that when I wired the money send him the wire transfer number and the test question.  After thinking about this it all seems kind of strange.  Does anyone know anything about Edwin Revere or Semiens Production in Banaber, Douala ..Cameroon?

I have not sent anything.

DO NOT send money ever over wire transfer. That is one big clue that the person is a scammer. The absolute best way to pay for something over internet is paypal, or something like paypal. It is a secure transaction. The Cameroon is another dead giveaway. This guy is more than likely a fraud.....

::) I dont see how can you deal with someone living so far away as Cameron ??
I think the best way to do is to deal locally , is he going to send the dog in a box or what ??
