yorkie puppy scam
« on: November 28, 2006, 03:44:27 AM »
I was scammed out of 900 for 3 yorkie puppies.  They were very convincing.  I even thought my money was secure by a security question and answer on the form.  But they got around it.  The add was posted to Brenda Macdonald out of Marysville Michigan who referred me to Amber Rowland who was transfered to Nigeria, with the Red Cross and Who Foundation, who in turn had me send $ to the shipper - Jeremiah Thomas at 213 Breadfruit St in Lagos Nigeria...they couldn't ship the puppies because "their health certificates needed renewed, can you send 300 more dollars".  I filed a complaint with EFCC.  Called Money gram and was told that there are tapes of every transfer and pickup.  This was both my daughters Christmas Presents.  They stole from my children and I will have some justice.  I seen the Bulldog add.  It was the same as the yorkie add.  I emailed a lady not to answer it.   I will keep watching,

I had the same problem yesterday.  I emailed a person by the name of Pearl Cole off of one of these ads.  Going to sell me a female Yorkie for $450 plus shipping.  Should have been here yesterday evening.  Had to send money by western union.  We did it but by credit card.  It was sent to a Mindy Brown in Danube, California.  The guy called me yesterday by AT&T relay.  His name was Jack Brown and he owned the kennels.  Been in the business for 10 years.  Said Pearl Cole was his grandfathers name.  Kept changing his story after a while.  Wanted me to change my western union payment to a guy in Nigeria because he needed to get his african pet toys into the US.  Then he would change the story again.  Kept telling him NO NO NO.  We were able to contact Western Union and get our money back on our card because he hadn't picked it up yet but it still cost me $51.00 dollars.  This was my daughters christmas present.  I want to report but I don't know how to go about doing it.

... it still cost me $51.00 dollars. ...

... escrow service cost would be $25 only and no headache.
