Breeder knowingly selling very sick puppies

>:(I just bought a King Charles Cavalier puppy from Lorrella lewis and her daughter Krystal. I have made numerous attempts to contact them with no luck. I took the puppy to the vet in less then 24 hours and the vet was very upset at the condition of the puppy and stated that she did not think the puppy would make it thru the weekend. The puppy was 5 months old, only weihed 6 lbs, and it was infested with fleas, had hook worms, was very anemic with a red blood count of 14 ( a low red blood count is 35 ). we were told by the vet that if the puppy started having trouble breathing we would have to go to the emergeny vet and have a blood transfusion. When I did get Lorella to answer the phone... I told her about what the vet had said and all she would say is.... "Well, what does that have to do with breeding?" My only advice to anyone that is thinking about doing business with these people is to RUN as fast as you can. These people are now under investigation from the local humane society and the CKC.
Ps. I saw that her daughter is selling Bulldogs too.... Please be very careful if dealing with these people.
pss. They are out of the Raleigh area and Warrenton, nc

This is just additional info for future readers:
Always ask for references, history of of the clients, if possible contact previous people that the breeder has delt with in regards to people who have purchased from them.
Always go to the breeders house to see the parents, seek paperwork on the bitch (mother) sire (father).
Take stock of the conditions of the breeders kennels and living conditions, when it comes to buying puppies, reputable is the best way to go.
Details, details, details.
I am very sorry u got hurt, its not fair for that to happen to good people.

Hopefully by now your dog has made a full recovery. People need to not get emotional when buying a pet, as hard as that can be. This dog should have stayed there and you should have walked away. Unlike buyer's remorse with a shiney new truck that won't fit in the garage, you can't simply trade it up for something else, and its unfair to the pet. The pet goes to a friendly, loving environment that turns hostile towards him because he's sick or isn't good with the kids afterall, and he can't understand why the humans are taking it out on him by locking him in the basement or laundry room, to spend hours alone and un-loved. Worse, people leave them outside to go nuts. I'm sure that didn't happen in your case, you took action to resolve your pet's immediate needs.
